I'm sure you can find strawberry salads everywhere online if you look but I am adding this one on here because my wife made it for me and i really love it. It is a fairly simple recipe but it tastes absolutely delicious. My favorite thing about this salad is how the vinegar brings out the sweetness out of the strawberries, Yum!
Ingredients:
2 cups of fresh strawberries
8 cups of so of mixed salad greens
1/3 cup of pine nuts or sliced almonds
6 tablespoons of olive oil
2 table spoons of white wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Preparation:
Slice up the strawberries
Get a large salad bowl and mix in the greens with the strawberries
Toss the pine nuts/sliced almonds in the salad bowl
In a different container mix in the olive oil, white wine vinegar, and salt. Pour over salad and mix well
You can add olive oil and vinegar to taste and don't need to follow this exactly, but thats the jist of it.
